Here's one I struggled with at FNM and would like a 2nd opinion (looking at you Kaleo and Testset!)to make sure I gave the correct answer.
A player has Cloudfin Raptor, and 3 additional blue mana symbols worth of permanents (say Bident and Triton Shorethief for example, they are irrelevant). The player plays Thassa. Does Cloudfin Raptor evolve?
Does Thassa enter AS a creature, counting her own devotion as the fifth, or does she enter as a non creature, fail to evolve the raptor, then immediately count devotion when she hits the battlefield and becomes a creature when it's too late?

Gods trigger evolve if they are "active", if their devotion count in met. So in your case, when Thassa is a creature on the stack, enters the battlefield, checks the devotion and is still a creature and is able to trigger evolve. I see what you are thinking, but it works this way because god's devotion/creature ability is static and just happens when it enters "the appropriate zone".

Haha I know rules pretty well, but I still get tripped up sometimes on really complicated stuff. Plus I'm pretty sure Theros was designed specifically to mess with rules lovers - I mean, a destroyed target with a bestow aura on the stack lets the bestow creature enter anyway and not fizzle? That goes against everything we've learned!
