I had an idea for a new set and some mechanics to work with it. The basic idea is this: the plane begins mostly peaceful (no wars, maybe a need for a town guard or militia, but that's the most), only humans, elves, etc. then an evil planeswalker (haven't decided who, might be a new one) finds out that the plane is full of untouched power, waiting for him to steal it. The evil planeswalker releases beasts and creates total chaos in the plane to gather this power. Humans/Elves attempt to fight back, hiding in the woods and trying to survive. (Remember, this was a peaceful plane, so most of them will not be experienced in fighting for safety. Hunters, wizards, and maybe town guards exist, but there are no heros (though maybe saints), no dragon-slayers, etc.). The hopes of the humans elves are dwindling when finally good planeswalkers arrive and help push back the evil planeswalkers. I hope this story isn't too close to another block's story, I don't read the books so I'm not really sure what the other planes are like. The two cards I have made so far (survival and hunger are the mechanics I made up): I wasn't able to fit hunger's definition on the card. It is: Hunger X — [Ability]: Whenever a creature dies that was dealt damage by this creature this turn, put a number of hunger counters onto this creature equal to the toughness of the creature that died. Then if this creature has X or more hunger counters on it, [ability]. How do you like it? Please post any comments or suggestions. Thank you. Yes, the picture on the human card is of an elf. I wanted the card to be a human, but I could only get a picture of an elf.

It looks neat! Specially the abilities! I would love to play it. Although i would make the cards with "hunger X" a little more cheam in terms of casting and instead of triggering an ability it could go back to yopur hand or sacrifice it. It would be more flavorful because it would represent a hungry beast that when satisfied stop "attacking" or leaves the battlefield. Mechanically this change would make those cards more used in other formats beacuse you would have more undercosted cards. For example a 5/5 or a 4/4 trampler for three mana with hunger 3 or a 3/1 first strike for one mana or something like that.
