I'm not an avid anime fan, but I do love a lot of the ones I've seen. ATLA, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and SNK are my favorites

Legend of Korra was okay, but it would have been better if it didn't devolve into Korra's search for a boyfriend as the main plot issue. The Death Note manga is fantastic, and one of the few times I don't mind monologues; it's kinda like Sherlock Holmes-kinda things. FMA. Enough said. Shingeki no Kyoujin, I never really got into. It looks pretty, but it's a pacing nightmare if you ask me XD

On SNK: it goes really fast, but the point of no return, where you just can't stop watching, comes early on enough that you forget about most of its problems and get enveloped in the plot. It's a pretty dark series, though.

Then, once Eren joins Levi, that slowly goes away as flashbacks and still-shot monologues take hold again. I ragequit during the later bit of the Female Titan chase, when it cuts to a 5~10 minute flashback right in the middle of a climactic chase scene. I'm likely to look up the manga; I've heard it handles itself really well Please note, I mean no offense with anything I say. SNK just kinda bugs me is all

I think I just personally don't mind flashbacks like that as much, seeing as I made it all the way to the end of the Arrancar saga in Bleach (half each episode was recap/flashback).

oh, yes. i simply cannot forget Dragon Ball or Deadman Wonderland. All of my yes. Deadman Wonderland is a personal favorite. Also one of my favorite dubs of all time. It takes a backseat to Ghost Stories' first dub, though

Favorite Anime of all time is Code Geass. It's superior in my head to everything else and I watch quite a bit of anime. Also, Avatar is friggin sweet. But if you haven't watched code geass, it's like a 50 episode anime, and it's so good.

Code Geass, from what I remember, was fantastic until Season 2, where it became a Gundam clone. I LOVED seeing Lelouch's strategy and tactics in Season 1 and watching his battles of wits. Quite different from your average mecha series that focuses more on one main character as opposed to the efforts of the collective.
Season one is what the Fire Emblem anime should have been, instead of the 2-episode tease that we actually got

I wouldn't say I'm an anime fan, however, there are a few that I really enjoyed. The original Fullmetal Alchemist was awesome, one of my favorite shows. Haven't seen Brotherhood yet. Elfin Leid was really good. I watched a bit of Chobits and it was okay. My guilty pleasure is Love Hina... I love the gender comedy in it. Avatar was good, though I haven't seen most of it. That's about all I've seen that I liked. I really dislike most of the big anime shows... Naruto, Dragon Ball, just about any mecha show... But I'm open to suggestions!

If you haven't done so yet, I highly recommend Kill La Kill. Slayers is another good one, and Record of Lodoss War is one of my favorites. I'm with you on the big series... The only reason I still follow the Naruto manga is more out of a sense of obligation than anything else XD

And they ended it so well. Man I loved it. Also, as far as Fullmetal Alchemist, I liked Brotherhood more. Not sure why just did. I think it captured it better.
