Our home here may still be under construction but it doesn't hurt to start expanding before all of the paint dries. I suggest word of mouth - today/tomorrow is Game Day weekend, tell people at your LGS! "There's a new mtg forum, and it's full of great people and great discussion! If you're into forums or online/mobile chat/discussions at all and think you might enjoy a magic forum, check out mtgcommunity.boards.net and give it a shot." That's what I'll be telling people this weekend!

This forum will need a way to attract new members or it will eventually stagnate and die off. Not trying to be negative but that's what happens. People come and go. We need a way to attract new members that is not related to bringing imtg users over. We can offer random people cookies as bribes? |

And I know I'd love to see both of them here. Speaking of loving to see people here... Holy crap, so many great folks! My heart was really sinking when I saw the disarray that we'd all had forced on us. But seeing you all together here and moving on strong is really uplifting. I love you guys/gals! And a special shoutout to Abstract - I'm super happy to see you here. I'm so sorry that all of this bull fell on/around you. You didn't deserve the unfair reaction, and I'm sure it must not have been easy being at the center under the crapstorm that followed. I'm really glad you're here, and even though you'll never get an apology from the person who should give it to you, I hope getting one from me is helpful is some way, because I feel like you really, really deserve one. Thanks! Also thanks to LG and Ertai! I totally relate to the feeling of despair when the only option left was quitting and how awesome it is that we now have this forum. What Piotr did wasn't right, but at least we can all move past it and have a fair government on here. |

Abstract, I have to admit, I didn't know you that well. However I am very happy that you are here, and will enjoy to get to know you better in due time. You didn't deserve what happened to you, and although I am saddened this all happened, without your martyr, we wouldn't have come to this better home. Advertising costs money. I would be willing to put some money into it if I thought it was worth it. At the moment, not enough of us here are active enough to warrant the spending...
FJ and I have something else in the works though.

Building our own, superior app from the ground up, with input from all of us as experienced magic players AND experienced magic app/forum users/members, could certainly draw in some people. Not to mention maybe earn the guys actually developing the app some cash on the side. Unfortunately I don't know how to code or program and whatnot. I wish I could be of more help than I am lol. Oh, and a quick edit: WHY THOMAS, WHYYY??? |
